record the abundant history, climate and culture of our town. We would

| Epigraph are lines of writing on statues, building, etc. There are many statues, such as Batou Kannon and Jizou in Toei, They have a lot of epigraphs. Volume two features these valued records, and classifies them into statues of Buddhist images, stone structures, and utensils of the temples and shrines. This book introduces various records written by the people who lived
in the specific era as well as photographs and comments. In addition,
the separate volumes feature 18 old maps of the old villages in Toei
.. These maps have been reproduced in colour and attached to the commented
maps are deciphered sentences to aid in the comprehension of the materials.

Volume one features about 350 historical documents of the Edo era. The
foundation of our ancestor's lifestyle was formed during the Edo era,
from 1603 to 1867. We know this era as being the era when Toei was founded.
