Toei museum of natural sciences



The Toei museum of natural sciences has 2,500 items on display such as mountings of birds, animals, specimens of insects and plants, and fossils, which have been found in Toei and the Kitashitara county. These showpieces are famous nationwide.

Especially, the collection of fossils from the third stratum of the Cenozoic are massive. It is known as "Naboth's vineyard" for fossil fanatics. The display items of the native animals and plants are a sight that you should see.

by car

Please get off the Tomei Express Way at the Toyokawa interchange. Then, head north on Kokudou 151 (Route151, in the direction of Iida city).
After 70 minutes of driving (45 km), you will arrive in Toei.

Pass throud the Shin-hongou tunnel. Then, turn right just before the first traffic signals. Go straight for 500 metres.

Admission fee : 310 Yen for one person
